Acids for the Brain and Mental Health, we now look at the remaining three symptoms, as follows: #3: Memory Capacity Loss. It’s inevitable that we will all suffer a decline in our brain functioning capabilities, however we
expect it to happen if we live to a ripe old age of 90 and above. Even then, we’d
like to think we’ll still have all of our “marbles”. However, as with the
awareness of mental health becoming mainstream, so are brain-related
illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. Even though more research is
needed to substantiate correlation claims, recent studies show a link

omega 3 rich foods, the better chance your brain has of functioning properly
and for longer. Remember, the key thing with omega 3s is that they provide
nutrition for all the body’s cells and organs – the brain included – and so the
more cells that contain anti-inflammatory omega 3s means
that those same cells do not contain the inflammatory omega 6s, which arise from
the ultra-processed foods that the world’s population eats today. And the
longer your body is full of inflammatory omega 6s in your cells, the more likely
you will eventually succumb to the chronic and degenerative diseases in
your gut, lungs, liver and heart…. as well as in your brain! #4: Pregnancy. This might not seem to be a natural connection to mental health, however, if
you are trying to get pregnant (or if you already are), omega 3 fatty acids play a
crucial role in your health and the health of your baby. Research has shown
that an omega 3-rich diet before and during pregnancy can provide multiple
benefits for you and your child. Such benefits for your child include: (1) Better development; (2) Better social skills; (3) Higher intelligence; and (4) Less
behavioural problems. It should also be noted that breastfeeding plays a crucial
role here, as what the mother consumes is passed through to the baby. This can also
be of more significance to the baby, especially if birth was by caesarean
section, where the baby is deprived of what’s normally passed through by a
natural birth; #5: ADHD. ADHD refers to: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder. Any parent who has hyperactive children will know the huge amount of
energy and stress that this brings to your life as a growing family. So, a diet
containing omega 3 rich foods for the newborn baby can help reduce the
incidence of ADHD. Several studies have linked lower omega 3 levels with a
higher chance of ADHD being present within a young child. The symptoms of
ADHD in children are: (1) Hyperactivity; (2) A lack of focus or concentration; (3) Aggression; and (4) Impulsiveness. So, there you have it! The five benefits of omega 3
fatty acids for the brain and mental health. In summary then, the five symptoms that an omega 3 rich diet can provide benefits for in maintaining a healthy
brain and your overall mental health, are: (1) Depression and anxiety; (2) Sleep
deprivation; (3) Mental capacity loss; (4) Pregnancy; and (5) ADHD. And as far as
